Levels of spiritual evolvement
Just as we have various milestones in our modern education system; we have them in our spiritual journey too.
The following diagram gives one an idea of the various stages in one’s spiritual journey if we had to compare them to equivalent milestones in our modern education system.

If the level of post-doctorate is the epitome of academic achievement in the modern education system then achieving the spiritual milestone of a Paratparguru is the highest in spiritual evolvement. After achieving the 90% spiritual level the person progresses towards God-realisation the final spiritual milestone.
