Ritual to cast off the evil eye

Method: Alum method ritual to overcome the evil eye

The added benefit of using alum is that one gets to know the form of the distressing energy too. When the alum used in the ritual is burnt, the raja-tama frequencies emanating from it condense and from its shape the extent of distress is ascertained.

What you will need to perform this ritual?

Method 5: What you will need for this ritual

.

Make the person who is affected by negative energy and on whom the ritual is to be performed sit on a low wooden platform or seat facing the east with flexed knees bent towards the chest. The palms should face upwards and should be placed on the knees.

Method 5: Step 2 - position

The person performing the ritual should stand in front of the person. Take one piece each the size of a cherry (refer to picture) in each of the fists.

Method 5: Step 3 - alum

Thereafter cross your fists in front of your body. The fists should be crossed like the multiplication sign.

Method 5: Step 3 - crossing hands

The fists should be moved from head to foot of the affected individual, in opposite directions and then touched to the ground.

The hands are crossed only to begin with. As we begin to perform the ritual we have to seperate the hands and simultaneously move the right fist in clockwise direction from head to foot and left fist in anticlockwise direction from head to foot.

After touching the ground, we again begin as above i.e. seperate the hands and simultaneously move the right fist in clockwise direction from foot to head and left fist in anticlockwise direction from foot to head.

The following should be uttered when performing the ritual 'May the evil eye cast upon him by visitors, spirits, trees, passers-by, place, be cast off and may he be protected from disease and injury'.

.

Method 5: Burning coals

If the alum just burns down within seconds into an amorphous heap without taking a specific form then it means that there is no problem.

If the alum does not take any shape but keeps burning for a long time then one can conclude that the distressing energy is very powerful.

If the alum takes the shape of an animal or bird then one can conclude that the ghost (demon, devil, negative energy etc.) is tormenting the person through the medium of animal or bird.

Method 5: Burned Alum - Crane

Sometimes the burnt alum sets into the shape of a doll. This means the sorcerer has made an image of the person and done black magic using it as a medium.

Method 5: Burned Alum - doll

Sometimes the alum assumes the shape of the skull. This means that lower level ghosts with severe craving are tormenting the affected person.

Method 5: Burned Alum - skull

The reason behind the alum being not much used despite its benefits over other substances: As the type of ghost is evident from the shape of the burnt alum, there is more possibility of attack on the person doing the ritual. Only if that person is doing spiritual practice and if his spiritual level is more than 50% can he fight against the attack by ghosts. That is why this ritual is seldom done.

Step 6: Disposing of the remains

The remains need to be collected in plastic bag sealed and disposed in the garbage can after praying to Lord Maruti that the negative energy in it be destroyed.
