What is the relationship between awakening of the Kunḍalinī and spiritual level?
The awakening of the Kunḍalinī and the awakening of the chakras is a process that is closely related to the spiritual level of a person. The following table, obtained though spiritual research, provides the spiritual level at which the Kunḍalinī is awakened and travels up the Central channel awakening the various chakras. The awakening of the Kunḍalinī starts at the 60% spiritual level.

Currently, especially in the spiritual healing and new age circles, we often hear people discuss their chakras and whether some chakra is opened or closed, or indicating that the chakras need to be balanced. This is a misnomer as the chakras (as seen from the table above) do not get activated until a higher spiritual level and for the vast majority of people, they are dormant. What they are in fact referring to is the active chetanā which is also known as Prāna-shakti or vital energy. For example, the active chetanā, which is strong in and around the heart region, in their parlance, would be incorrectly referred to as the Heart chakra being open.
